The Silent Killer

There’s a silent killer attacking America today.  It is ruining our economy, wrecking relationships and stealing our joy.  It gets passed from person to person like a virus having a gradual and cumulative effect.  This new addiction is called FEAR.  Fear of failure, Fear of success, Fear of taking risk, Fear of being wrong, Fear of losing what you have.  The anxiety produced by living in fear helps drive our addictive behaviors.  We seek relief through alcohol, drugs, food, sex, work, gambling and many other temporary distractions we use to divert our attention from our fear.  Luckily there is a cure.  Change your physical stature; stand tall, breath deep move with purpose. Be aware of how you talk to yourself; change the conversation. Don’t gossip. Stay positive. Have FAITH in your self and in the God of your choosing.  You have a purpose  or you would not be here sharing this experience  known as life.  Faith is a synonym for expectancy.  Expect that good things will happen.  Expect that the universe unfolds as it should.  Expect that there is a purpose and an opportunity to be found in your present challenges. Expect that you are right where you are supposed to be.  The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
